The sad story behind this touching image in his own words:
'This was a day tinged with sadness. We had gone in very very early to the reserve, first people to get there. We had an amazing time, saw nobody else hardly for hours, was totally amazed at this group of rhinos just mucking around.
We sat for ages just watching them, only to find that as we were coming towards end of the day that no one else had been granted access, as they found someone had butchered one of these magnificent beasts for his horn.
This broke our hearts, still cannot understand why anybody would want a horn from a rhino, given that they know what is done to get it. They are gradually going extinct and will certainly be gone within the next decade.
As a result of this butchery the authorities decided to de-horn all the Rhinos in the reserve, so we were that last to see these three beautiful magnificent creatures with their horns.'

Large 30x21cm (approx 15x11") print is a reproduction from an original piece drawn in coloured pencil and is limited to an exclusive run of 275 hand signed copies.
8x10" (Approx A4) sized open edition signed print.
15% of the profit from each print will benefit Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a charity working to help save Rhinos on the ground in Africa.
Please select from the following options:
- Unmounted print in two sizes; Medium and Large (LIMITED EDITION)
- Mounted print in a choice of two sizes, ready to frame. Medium mounts will fit a 14x11" frame. Large mounts will fit a 20x16" frame.
- Framed, in a choice of 4 colours: Warm Grey, Wenge, White, Black. All 30mm wooden frames, handmade in Britain. Complete with pre-fixed hanging hardware, for a piece that is ready to place on the wall and enjoy.
Please be advised that each print is printed on demand - dispatch is usually within 1-3 days but can take up to 10 days in some instances. Whilst a small number of frames are kept in stock, most will be handmade to order, so please allow up to 3 weeks for dispatch of framed items.
The process of creating each print is personally overseen by Anna to ensure a perfect quality reproduction from the original artwork is achieved. Printed on museum quality Canson Infinity Etching Rag 310 paper.
This paper has the purest white tone available on the market, without any Optical Brightening Agents, also called OBAs. Optical Brightening Agents are artificial brighteners that deteriorate in time. Canson® Edition Etching Rag offers a high paper shade stability and a resistance to ageing by using natural minerals.
Anna Howlett Artwork is owned and run by just one person (me - Anna!) and each order is hand packed with care. Though I work as hard as possible to get orders dispatched speedily, please allow between 2-5 working days for dispatch and up to 10 days for mounted/framed prints.
Shipping Info - UK Mainland
Items are dispatched via Royal Mail or tracked courier service.
Greetings card orders under 750g are sent via Royal Mail Large Letter (2nd Class) - £1.99 for orders up to 500g and £3.00 for orders over 500g.
Orders over 750g are sent via Royal Mail Small Parcel/Tracked Courier - usually Tracked 48hr- £4.99
For large framed, fragile or original artwork, shipping is £10.00. However these will usually be of a value over £85:
Orders over £85.00 are shipped FREE (free shipping will apply automatically at checkout).

Shipping Info - Europe & International
International parcels are sent via tracked courier (Royal Mail, DHL, DPD, Transglobal Express or Fedex). Please allow extra time for delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the impact of Brexit.
Your order may be subject to customs fees and import duties. Anna Howlett Artwork cannot be held liable for these, please ensure that you are aware of your country's fee structure before ordering. Duties may be payable before your item is delivered to you; should these not be paid, your order will be returned to us by the courier. Once we receive your order, extra shipping fees will apply to have your order re-sent, or you can request a refund (minus the cost of shipping).
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Custom items (e.g. bespoke commissions), are exempt, as are gift cards/vouchers, and downloadable products, such as PDFs, tutorials or software.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at email@example.com.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver.
To return your product, you should mail your product to: Dean Lodge, Upper Dean, Huntingdon, ENG, PE28 0NE, United Kingdom. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time taken for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
