Racehorse and Jockey Study I (Charity Print)
Fine art giclée print from an original charcoal study. I wanted to portray the relationship between a horse and his jockey, in those few moments of sweaty exhaustion after a race.
20% of profits from the sales of this print will benefit the Racehorse Sanctuary, a British charity dedicated to saving, housing, retraining and rehoming ex-racehorses in need. They are a self funded charity which relies wholly on donations to continue. They never give up on a horse, even those who can’t be ridden or are in need of specialist care on a daily basis - every horse is given sanctuary, respect and care. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the shut down of their usual fundraising avenues, and a harsh winter, the Sanctuary has launched a winter appeal to help feed and fund all the horses in their care. Each 20% donation from this print will go straight to helping the charity care for their horses.
